The pub has its own beer garden and covered-in heated area  with a natural back drop of the old town wall and St. James Church. Summer BBQs/Parties and functions are all catered for.  An Chonair is also a Sports Bar with afternoon/evening games of GAA/Rugby and soccer.

The Blasket Case which is a rock/blues band play every Sunday night from 7pm to 10pm.  All year round.  There is no cover charge.  Traditional music is catered during the peak season usually 3 or 4 nights a week but due drop in as you never know what type of session might be on.
